Congratulations are in order for Dan + Shay’s Dan Smyers!
The singer and longtime girlfriend Abby Law just got engaged while vacationing at Waikiki Beach in Honolulu, Hawaii. The couple announced their engagement via social media on Friday (Nov. 18).
“There are few words to fully convey this feeling of complete happiness. Daniel Smyers, knowing and loving you has been the most rewarding part of my life thus far and continuing our journey together as your wife will be an honor,” Abby wrote. “I love you so much my heart could explode!!! Y’all WE’RE ENGAGED!!!!!”

Smyers also shared the news, along with a photo of the couple, writing, “We’re gonna save all the animals together, FOREVER. I love you,@abbydlaw! (And yes, the Hawaii rainbow is real).”
The news comes about three months after Smyers’ duo partner Shay Mooney popped the question to his girlfriend Hannah Billingsley. Not only do Smyers and Mooney each have weddings to plan, but Mooney is also prepping for a new role: fatherhood. He and Billingsley are expecting their first child together next year.
Dan + Shay are currently at country radio with “How Not To,” the second single from their Obsessed album, which was released this past summer.
