Darius Rucker, Charles Kelley Chip Away for a Good Cause at ACM Topgolf Tee-Off

The event was one of the many planned in Vegas to support the ACM Party for a Cause initiative, in which music combines with charity to help out those in need.

While taking on the craziness of Vegas, Darius Rucker and Charles Kelley came together to celebrate another huge part of the country music community: giving back to those in need.

Combining their love of selfless service and the sport of golf, the two artists invited a wide number of their friends from the format to compete in a friendly round on the driving range at the ACM Lifting Lives Topgolf Tee-Off. Singers teamed together to form their own squads to take home the trophy at the laidback contest, and some swung their way to beat their opposing players with flying colors.

Everyone from Devin Dawson to Jordan Davis to Carly Pearce showed up in support of the ACM Party for a Cause event, but not all came in with skills like Tiger Woods and had to brush up on their knowledge of the prestigious sport.

“My golf game is terrible, but I’m embracing it and I’m just really happy to be here supporting such a great cause and with all my friends,” Pearce told Sounds Like Nashville before taking on the clubs.

Although Kelley knew he was hosting to raise awareness for the charitable organization, he came with his strategy in tact by focusing on the idea of beating Rucker during the driving range match.

“I want to play good, I do,” Kelley told Sounds Like Nashville during the day. “I definitely just want to beat Darius. He and I are best buddies, and when it comes to golf, that’s where we definitely have the competitive side that comes out in us. So as long as I can take him down, I’m happy.”

In the end, Team Triple Tigers with Scotty McCreery and Russell Dickerson claimed victory, but it was those benefitting from the ACM Lifting Lives initiative that won during the event overall.
