Lady Antebellum’s Dave Haywood and his wife Kelli are back with another parody song and video. This time, they’ve revamped Brad Paisley’s 1999 ballad, “We Danced,” changing it to “We Zoomed.” The dramatic video shows Dave, starring as Bobby L in a bleached blonde wig, singing about the struggles of setting up an office zoom meeting.

“The room was empty, I was waiting on my team / Sam and Don and Nancy and the HR lady Jean / And then I realized I hadn’t let anybody in / I didn’t know the host had to click admit to begin,” he sings in the first verse.

The couple then launches into the chorus, as Dave sings while looking into a mirror and Kelli sings outside in a red dress.

“We zoomed,” they sing. “Out there on that internet explorer / This free account, we must be done by four / It’s my subscription I did not renew / And we zoomed.”

Kelli then takes lead on the second verse, singing about a quarantine love story that started on Bumble and led to a first date on zoom. The video switches between clips of the couple singing and the two of them zooming each other. In the second chorus, they cover the many issues that can come up when trying to video call, such as forgetting they’re on mute and the video freezing.

This is the second parody video the couple has made while cooped up in the house during quarantine. In the first video, posted on April 20th, they sang “Just Another Day In Quarantine,” which was a spin off of Phil Vassar’s “Just Another Day In Paradise.” That video shows Dave and Kelli in their house singing about various situations that occur when parenting during a pandemic.
