Dierks Bentley looked as dapper as ever as he walked the red carpet at the premiere of the major motion picture, Only The Brave. By the side of the singer/songwriter was a special lady in his life… his mother, Catherine.
Bentley chronicled the evening with a series of photos, showcasing their coordinating suits as they stood side by side on the carpet and highlighted the many men and women firefighters and first responders in attendance.
“me mom and first responders and firefighters on red carpet @onlythebravemovie. #granitemountain #granitemountainhotshots,” wrote the singer on Instagram.
The film, which is based on the true story of wildland firefighters, the Granite Mountain Hotshots, is one that the Arizona native is connected to, as he both hails from “The Grand Canyon State” and helped raise money for the families of the hotshots just several years ago.
“I’m from Arizona, and we played a benefit concert for these 19 guys and their families a few months after this happened back in 2012,” he told Extra.
Featured in Only The Brave is a song Bentley co-wrote with the film’s composer Joe Trapanese, Jon Randall, Bon Iver’s S. Carey.
“This is at the top, if not the most meaningful experience I’ve ever been a part of,” said Bentley previously. “It hits me harder than any other song I’ve had a chance to be a part of. Over the last couple years I’ve met and gotten to know Brendan, the sole survivor, and my mom has met with some of the guys’ families, and it’s still unfathomable to put yourself in any of their shoes. But, our goal was to create a message of hope and love. I’m honored to have been a part of it.”
