Dierks Bentley Hangs Up His Boots After Sounds of Summer Tour

Summer 2015 recently came to a close and so did Dierks Bentley’s Sounds of Summer Tour. The singer wrapped a successful summer on the road headlining amphitheaters across the country with supporting acts Kip Moore, Canaan Smith, and Maddie & Tae.

If you’ve ever seen Bentley live, you may have noticed that he’s almost always wearing a pair of old, worn out black boots. By the end of his tour, the boots are usually being held together by strings and a heck of a lot of duct tape. This tour was no exception.

As the trek began to wind down, Bentley counted down the remaining shows and shared photos of his boots from each show with fans via Instagram. This time though, the boots had an interesting story behind them. The boots were from WWII and first belonged to someone by the name of Lipman. The Arizona native had been wearing this specific pair of boots since his Riser Tour.

After wrapping the tour over the weekend, Dierks thanked fans for making it his “favorite summer ever” and let them know he’d be hanging those boots up.

Gotta love Bentley’s appreciation for things with sentimental value!
