Dierks Bentley Has a Kentucky Derby Fashion Dilemma
The Kentucky Derby takes place this weekend and Dierks Bentley and his wife Cassidy will be there to take in the race for the first time ever. Although he’s excited about the Derby festivities, there’s one problem that Bentley can’t seem to solve — what to wear.
The Bentley’s will be attending the race with Kix Brooks and his wife, Barbara. The two singers have been texting back and forth about their clothing dilemma. “Kix is going to kill me for talking about this, but we’ve been going back and forth texting like a couple of girls! I’m all, ‘What are you wearing?’ And he’s sending me pictures of things he’s got pulled out,” Bentley told PEOPLE Country.
“So I went to a little preppy shop in Nashville and I’m taking pictures and sending them back to Kix like, ‘What do you think of this? I told Kix, ‘I’m deleting this thread as soon as it’s over! It’s embarrassing!'”
But Brooks isn’t the only one Bentley has been getting fashion advice from. The Arizona native has also been seeking advice from Luke Bryan. “I just texted Luke last night because I was looking at pictures online from last year,” said Bentley, ” Luke looked great! He made the full commitment!”
With the race happening tomorrow, what does Bentley have in mind to wear? “I still don’t know! I have a few options, but I can’t go all the way Derby yet. I can’t do pastels, I don’t have great shoes and I’m still working on a hat!”
