Dierks Bentley Previews Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum Exhibit

Dierks Bentley took a stroll down memory lane last night (3/3) as he previewed his new exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.

Dierks Bentley: Every Mile A Memory opened today and highlights accolades and memories from the hitmaker’s career.

“It’s totally surreal. I mean, I understand that I’m not actually in the hall of fame, but I am in the hall of fame and it’s hard to process,” Bentley told Sounds Like Nashville and other reporters during a media preview of the exhibit. “I’ve been trying to think about this the last couple months and as folks came by to grab stuff out of the house, I’m trying to figure out what’s going to go in here. It’s really taken being here now to really grasp this whole thing so it’s hard to comprehend. I mean, it’s the country music hall of fame and to have anything be a part of this in a neat, small way is amazing.”

Among the guests was his wife Cassidy, their daughter Jordan and Bentley’s trusty sidekick, Jake.

“I was walking around the house thinking, ‘I gotta grab Jake,’ because, you know, Jake’s been with me through every phase of my career. Before I had a publishing deal. Before I even had a gig really,” he explained of the K-9.

The “Somewhere On A Beach” singer also opened up about taking over Blake Shelton’s hosting gig at the Academy of Country Music Awards and what the exhibit would mean to his late dad. Check it out in the video above.

Dierks Bentley: Every Mile A Memory runs from March 4, 2016 through Sept. 6, 2016 in Nashville’s Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. For more information, visit the museum’s website.
