Dierks Bentley Revives Seven Peaks Music Festival for Labor Day 2022
He's ready to leave a dramatic few years of cancellations behind.
Country star Dierks Bentley is bringing back his pride-and-joy country and bluegrass music festival, announcing the return of the Seven Peaks Music Festival.
Back in action for three days of mountainside music over Labor Day weekend 2022, Bentley’s festival is once again coming to Colorado — but not to its original home. After local officials abruptly pulled the plug on the 2021 event, Bentley and his team have moved the whole thing.
Now set to take place in Villa Grove, Colorado, nestled into the San Luis Valley, Bentley says the return of Seven Peaks has been a major priority. In July of 2021, just a couple of weeks after announcing the full lineup for that year’s fest, local officials decided to split with state regulations over COVID-19 and keep a 5,000 person event-attendance cap in place, despite restrictions being lifted statewide. The 2020 event was also canceled due to COVID-19, but with those issues behind them, the show can now finally go on for its long-awaited third year.
“I can’t overstate how much it means to be able to say that Seven Peaks is officially coming back,” shared Bentley. “We’re excited to have found the perfect new location for the festival in Villa Grove. We love Colorado and it was important to us to find a home for this special event that encompasses all the magic of the beauty of the state. I can’t wait to share what we have planned for this year’s festival in the coming days.”
The Seven Peaks Music Festival’s new Villa Grove location is just south of the original spot in Buena Vista, and southwest of Colorado Springs. The festival will take place Labor Day Weekend, September 2-4, 2022, with lineup information and ticket details being revealed on April 13.
