Country star Dierks Bentley says Seven Peaks Music Festival is coming back for 2021, with dates set for Labor Day weekend.

The camping and roots music festival is now in it’s third year, returning to the mountains of Buena Vista, Colorado, September 3-5.

Performers set to join Bentley at Seven Peaks have yet to be announced, but in years past the event has become known for a mix of mainstream country acts and bluegrass bands, highlighting Bentley’s own persoanl preferences.

“The whole concept of this festival is very selfish, right? It’s all the things I love: Colorado, bluegrass, 90s country, new country. It’s like building your own personal Field of Dreams,” he told CMT in 2019. “It’s kind of like writing a song, in a way. You’re writing it for yourself, but you’re hoping your fans like it. Because you can’t do it the other way around. You can’t write a song for fans to like and then not even like it yourself. You have to trust your gut. And really, I just wanted an excuse to go to Colorado every year.

The 2020 festival was canceled due to COVID-19, and Bentley made news of its return official during a live-streamed concert on Wednesday (May 26). Dierks Bentley was back on the road in May for his High Times & Hangovers club tour, and has a full-scale Beers On Me summer tour set to kick off in August. The “Gone” singer will also appear on the 2021 CMT Music Awards June 9.
