Dierks Bentley Takes The Polar Plunge

Dierks Bentley kicked off the new year the same way he has for the past 14 years…by taking the polar plunge.

The singer documented his annual lake jump for all to see in a hilarious video (watch below.)

“Lake jump 2016. This is ridunkulous but we’re doing it anyway,” the 40-year-old father of three says in the clip. “I don’t know why we do this, but we do it.”

The new ACM Awards co-host isn’t exactly sure why he does the jump every year, but one of his buddies clarifies it for him. “We do it to wash off the old and breathe in the new,” he shares.

Bentley first wades in slowly, but then goes all the way under to dunk his head.

“2015’s gone. 2016 lake jump is complete,” he shares.
