Superstars and the Super Bowl go hand in hand, and with untold numbers of viewers tuning in mostly for the commercials, it’s not hard to see why. Companies spend millions on the 30-second spots each year, and the competition to go down as the year’s “best” is a cultural phenomenon all its own. So for 2022, T-Mobile has called in the big guns: Dolly Parton and Miley Cyrus.

Described as the first godmother-goddaughter ad in Super Bowl history, the commercial for T-Mobile was teased on social media just a few days before the game. The clip finds Parton and Cyrus talking no the phone, with Parton reassuring her young protege that she has the goods to make a difference in the world.

“You have a voice, Miley. Use it!” Parton tells Cyrus.

That prompts the pop star to begin penning a song, with footage of her working and writing backed up by Survivor’s “Eye of the Tiger.” That’s basically all we get for now, and fans will have watch the game see more, but it sure has the makings of an early favorite.

Super Bowl LVI will air on Sunday (February 13) on NBC at 5:30 pm ET, with the Los Angeles Rams taking on the Cincinnati Bengals … and a whole lot of incredible commercials.
