Lately it feels like spring has sprung in Nashville, and that’s not just because the weather has finally turned nice. Country legend Dolly Parton seems to be popping up everywhere, just like those beautiful roadside daffodils.

In fact, she just added another gig to her blooming 2022 business plan — a signature line of floral arrangements.

Partnering with 1-800-Flowers, Parton has curated three rose bouquets to celebrate both her first novel, Run, Rose Run, and International Women’s Day (which is March 8). Run, Rose, Run was co-written by the star with best selling author James Patterson about an aspiring country singer who hides secrets from a dark past in her songs, and the book arrives on March 7. Meanwhile, a whole album of original songs inspired by the book arrives on Friday (March 4), with songs like “Big Dreams and Faded Dreams” already out. The flowers are also available now, and for just two weeks fans who order a bouquet also get a digital copy of the album/audiobook that comes with a special note from Parton herself.

“I remember as a little girl, running into the meadows behind our house so I could pick fresh flowers for my mama. I loved the smell and that they felt like a little ray of sunshine that I could share,” Parton says of her flower venture. “To this day, I feel the same way. I’m partial to yellow roses, but I love all different kinds of flowers. So, join me and send a little bit of sunshine to the special woman in your life with 1-800-Flowers.com. Plant a seed with love.”

But if you know anything about Dolly Parton, you know that’s far from the only thing she has planted and ready to grow. The Country Music Hall of Famer also announced her first ever appearance at the massive SXSW festival, where she will speak about Run, Rose, Run alongside her co-author on March 18. The convo will be moderated by actress Connie Britton (Nashville, Friday Night Lights), and immediately after that’s done she will perform songs from Run, Rose, Run (plus a few hits). It will all stream live and for free on the brand new “Dollyverse,” which will also host the superstar’s new NFT line.

“There’s almost nothing more important to me than connecting with my fans. And I’m almost always up for trying something new and different,” said Parton. “I’d say releasing NFTs at my first ever appearance at SXSW, with James Patterson by my side, definitely counts as new and different!”

Of course, Parton will also co-host next week’s 57th annual ACM Awards, taking the stage at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium alongside Jimmie Allen and Gabby Barrett on March 7. The show will stream live on Amazon’s Prime Video at 8 pm ET.
