Not like she ever left, but Dolly Parton is back and better than ever as she will be receiving the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award at the 50th Annual CMA Awards this November.

The announcement about Parton receiving such a fine honor from the CMA was said during Parton’s visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where he congratulated her for her achievement and all of the major success she’s earned over the many decades of her career in country music.

CMA awards the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award to artists that has not only become an iconic face for the genre, but also contributes back into the community of both country music and universally. As Parton has been around country music for the majority of her life and has made such a strong impact on people everywhere with her contributions to society, CMA thought choosing the country queen as this year’s recipient was a no-brainer.

“Dolly epitomizes the very definition of the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award,” said Sarah Trahern, CMA Chief Executive Officer in a press release recently. “She is a trailblazer who continues to enchant and captivate fans around the world, from her latest No. 1 album, to her sold-out tour, and numerous television projects. She is a treasure and deserving of this industry acclaim for her undeniable contributions to the success of Country Music, today.”

Winners of the award in the past have been artists like Willie Nelson himself, Johnny Cash and Kenny Rogers. Nominated for 44 CMA Awards and winning nine, Parton is thankful for the honor of this achievement among her collection.

The 50th Annual CMA Awards will be aired live from Bridgestone Arena in downtown Nashville on Wednesday, November 2, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
