Simply put, there has never been another star like Dolly Parton — and there probably never will be. The Country icon appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon recently and tricked her happy-go-lucky host into blushing no less that three times.
Parton was supposedly on the show to discuss her NBC special, Dolly Parton: 50 Years at the Grand Ole Opry, but througout the interview it seemed like she was more interested in pulling Fallon’s chain. After first admitting she’s “still horny” — a joke about throwback a photo where Oprah is seen giving her bunny ears that look like “horns” — Parton then invites Fallon to climb over the desk and smell the new perfume she’s been working on, an offer he gleefully accepts.
Soon the pair are singing an impromptu version of Parton’s classic, “9 to 5,” but like any expert entertainer, she knows how to go out with a bang. Out of nowhere, the Hall of Fame great ends up catfishing Fallon and his viewers into a story about how she got her most “recognizable” features, and it’s one you don’t want to miss.
Parton recently co-hosted 53rd annual CMA Awards with Reba McEntire and Carrie Underwood, where she also performed with contemporary Christian hit makers for King & Country.
