It may be the beginning of fall, but Dylan Scott has his mind set on snow and stockings as he announced the release of his first-ever holiday EP.

The country singer skipped ahead to the most wonderful time of the year for his next musical endeavor, in which he’ll cover Christmas hits such as “Jingle Bell Rock,” “White Christmas” and “Santa Claus is Coming to Town.”

As a fan of the jolly season himself, Scott couldn’t resist the urge to record something for the festive yuletide and made sure to lay down some of his favorite carols he sang along to as a kid during the holidays.

“Christmas is my favorite time of the year, and I am really excited about the release of my first Christmas EP,” Scott said in a press release. “I grew up listening to the holiday classics and to be able to record and perform some of these songs is a dream come true.”

Fans will be gifted with the Christmas EP during autumn, just in the height of Scott’s whirlwind year. He just earned his first radio No. 1 with the single, “My Girl,” off his debut release and will join Justin Moore for the Hell on a Highway Tour on the same day that Merry Christmas will be available to fans.

Later this year, the singer will welcome his first child, a boy, with his wife Blair.
