Eli Young Band Can’t Imagine Any Other Life

The guys of the Eli Young Band have been making music together for over a decade. If you think it’s hard for them to imagine doing anything else, then you’ve hit the nail of the head.

“We’ve been doing this for so long,” says drummer Chris Thompson. “I think we don’t know what it’s like to not be in the Eli Young Band.”

For Mike Eli, living the life of a musician is just natural for him, especially after being the quiet kid through high school.

“For me, when I was a kid, and even all the way through high school, I was quiet and really didn’t always feel comfortable in my skin,” he shares. “But when I discovered that music was who I was there was no looking back at that point.”

Even though they love their job, there are still the hard days on tour when they just want to be home. That’s when they have remind themselves how lucky they are.

“You have to remind yourself that not everyone gets this opportunity,” Eli says.

The band’s new single, “Turn It On,” is the title track off their recently released EP.
