‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ Goes Country In Honor of the ACM Awards

In honor of the 49th Annual ACM Awards, Ellen DeGeneres sent one of the “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” writers to the The Grove, a popular shopping area in Los Angeles, to speak to people with only song lyrics.

The writer, Amy, headed to the GAP and began speaking to people using the lyrics from Taylor Swift’s “You Belong With Me,” Lady Antebellum’s “Need You Now,” and Carrie Underwood’s “Before He Cheats.”

The talk show host also sent McAuliffe Elementary School librarian Kirby Thomas to the ACM Awards, where she and show writer Andy spoke with a number of country music artists, including Rascal Flatts, Luke Bryan, and Keith Urban on the red carpet.
