The 51st Annual Academy of Country Music Awards doesn’t air until Sunday, but the ACM Video of the Year has been named.

Taking home the coveted prize is Eric Church’s “Mr. Misunderstood.” The superstar was surprised with the honor just after wrapping his rehearsal for his ACM Awards performance.

“It’s unbelieveable. I can’t believe it at all,” said Church’s manager John Peets, who also co-directed the music video. “It’s crazy. I mean, we did this record, he did it. It was all kind of secret and we decided to make our video really quick.”

“It’s the cheapest video ever that won Video of the Year. It’s just us,” Church laughed.

“Mr. Misunderstood” was directed by Reid Long & John Peets.

Other nominees in the category included Dierks Bentley’s “RISER,” Little Big Town’s “Girl Crush,” Cam’s “Burning House,” and Kacey Musgraves’ “Biscuits.”

The 51st Academy Of Country Music Awards, co-hosted by Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley, will be broadcast live from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Sunday, April 3 at 8:00PM live ET/delayed PT on the CBS Television Network.
