Exclusive: Josh Gracin Thanks His Fans for Letting Him Follow his Dreams
“They give me everything. I mean, like I said, if it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t be able to do what I love to do."
When it comes to decisions in his career Josh Gracin has a guiding force: do it for the fans. The former Marine-turned-singer always keeps his supporters in the back of his mind, because without them he wouldn’t be able to pursue his love of music.
“I owe everything to the fans. If I could say anything to them, first and foremost it would be thank you and 100 percent, I mean that with everything that I am because the bottom line is, I wouldn’t be able to do what I love to do,” shared Gracin in a video premiering exclusively on Sounds Like Nashville. “They give me everything. I mean, like I said, if it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t be able to do what I love to do.”
Keeping those fans in mind, Gracin decided to push outside of his comfort zone when recording his latest single, “Good For You.” Co-written by David DeVaul and Robyn Collins, the powerful ballad shows a new side to Gracin’s smoky voice while also telling a love story in an entirely new way.
“This song is something you haven’t heard from me before,” said the singer in a press release. “I wanted to give the fans something different. ‘Good For You’ is country to the core but it plays on elements of blues and soul, which is the type of music I grew up on. I think fans will really grab onto this one.”
