Ryan caught Luke Bryan’s show this week at the Brooklyn Country Fair in Connecticut and was kind enough to send us a recap and some pictures of the show. Enjoy!…

Luke Bryan put on a great show Thursday night at the Brooklyn Connecticut County Fair’s opening night. He did a great mix of old songs, new songs, and cover songs. He came out to a new song called “Somebody Else Calling You Baby” and ended his set with “All My Friends Say”. Some of the highlights included a new song called “Rain is a good thing” which I think can be one of his biggest hits, the hook of the song is “rain makes corn, corn makes whiskey, whiskey makes my baby … kind of friskey”. It’s a really catchy and humorous song.

At one point he did a medley of songs dedicated to his heroes such as Alabama’s “Mountain Music”, “Hillbilly Deluxe” by Brooks & Dunn, Charlie Daniels’ “Devil Went Down to Georgia” and Nitty Gritty Band’s “Fishin’ in the Dark”. He also played some heavy metal songs such as Metallica’s “Enter the Sandman”. His encore song was “Play Something Country” by Brooks & Dunn.

Besides the new single, “Do I”, the other new songs off his upcoming CD that he played were “Doin’ My Thing,” “That’s What Country Is,” “Welcome to the Farm,” and “I Did It Again”. All of which are really upbeat and really catchy. It reaffirms my belief that his new CD is going to be a great one.

I had a meet and greet with Luke and it was the 4th time I met him. He remembered me right away and talked about a time past that I met him. He is so down to earth and a really cool dude. His show was phenomenal and I look forward to seeing him live again soon.
