Welcome to Feel-Good Friday, a weekly roundup of heartwarming stories, lighthearted videos, and inspiring country news that reminds us all there is still good in the world.

Jameson Rodgers raises money for independent music venues

Jameson Rodgers hosts two writers rounds tonight at Nashville’s Listening Room Café. The singer will share the stage with Carly Pearce, Jordan Davis, Jimmie Allen and Tenille Townes. While both in-person shows are sold-out, they are available to view via livestream. The night serves as a benefit for independent Nashville music venues and marks the first event for the singer’s newly created The Neighborhood Fund through the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. All proceeds from this event will benefit Music Venue Alliance-Nashville.

“2020 and 2021 have been extremely difficult for all kinds of businesses and individuals,” Rodgers says. “I wanted to make sure that I was doing my part and giving back to organizations that I feel align with my principles which is to leave this world a better place than I found it. I’m excited to establish The Neighborhood Fund which will give me and my fans an outlet to partner with organizations that we believe in and that are helping struggling individuals and businesses.”

Jordan Davis is teaching his one-year-old daughter, Eloise, how to do the laundry in an adorable  TikTok clip posted this week. In the video, Davis is seen emptying the washer while handing the clean clothes to Eloise to put into the dryer. “Gotta start the chores early,” he captions with #girldad #laundry #sundayroutine.

Kane Brown shows off his basketball skills

Kane Brown will launch his Blessed & Free Tour later this year and the trek has him performing at all 29 NBA arenas. A new clip shows the singer is a little closer to getting his dream of playing one-on-one with a player from each NBA team. If his latest Instagram video on the court at Madison Square Garden is any indication, Brown may have another career on his hands as a pro basketball player. Watch above as his three shots make the net during a recent trip to New York City.

Leslie Jordan hangs with country stars in Nashville

While in town for the ACM Awards on Sunday, Leslie Jordan spent time with several country stars. He posed for a “prom picture” with Martina McBride, helped braid Ingrid Andress’ hair, grabbed dinner with Brothers Osborne and met up with Kacey Musgraves and Fancy Hagood all while bringing his signature charm and humor to each hang.

Miranda Lambert’s ACM Awards glam jam recruits latest collaborators

It’s not a country awards show without a glam jam from Miranda Lambert. While the singer had three performances at Sunday’s ACM Awards, she still made time for an impromptu glam jam with her collaborators Jon Randall and Jack Ingram and her glam squad. The friends took a moment to raise a hairbrush (or glass) while singing along to Willie Nelson’s “On the Road Again.”

Lambert isn’t the only one lip-synching to “On the Road Again” this week. Matthew McConaughey and Snoop Dogg recently spent some time in the car together while singing along to Nelson’s famous road song.
