Country Newcomer Filmore Marries Fiancée, Paige Korte

Country newcomer Filmore is a married man, tying the knot with fiancée, Paige Korte, in a recent beachside ceremony.

According to People magazine, the couple chose the Isle of Palms, South Carolina, for their unforgettable day — picking the same spot where Korte’s mother and father got engaged 32 years earlier. The newlyweds wrote their own vows and exchanged rings in front of family, friends and their two dogs, and then made the short trip to the backyard of Korte’s parents’ home for the reception — complete with a dance floor built over the family pool. Train’s heartwarming “Marry Me” served as their first dance.

“The entire day incorporated small touches,” the couple told People. “The coordinates of where we [got] married are the same coordinates that are stamped on Tyler’s ring. We also hand-rolled cigars with our last name, Filmore, on them.”

The 31-year-old “Slower” singer and Korte — a 27-year-old cardiac sonographer at a Nashville hospital — had been dating for three years and were engaged in June. They’ll honeymoon in the Rocky Mountains until a bigger trip to Europe is possible, but it sounds like they’ve already got the important things in life figured out.

“After being together for three years, we’ve figured out a few tricks,” Filmore said. “Paige switched to working the weekends so she’s able to be home during the week when I’m home. We consistently prioritize each other’s needs and put each other first.”

Following debut single “Slower,” the rising talent has also dropped “Other Girl” and “Nothing’s Better.” His debut album, State I’m In, came out last month.
