First Week Of ‘The Voice’ Battle Rounds: Two Come & Two Go For Team Blake

The Voice

The Voice’s coach Blake Shelton started the week on the offensive – blowing through both his steals in one night. The early volley however might pay off in the long-run.

Blake’s first went after Nic Hawk, who was dropped from Adam Levine’s team in favor of Grey. “You screwed up so bad,” Blake told Adam.

Blake also picked up Briana Cuoco, sister to Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco. Coach Christina Aguilera dropped her from the team after her performance of “House of the Rising Sun” against Jacquie Lee. Despite Brianna’s rough showing, both Blake and CeeLo moved in for “the steal,” but she was lured to Shelton’s side.

Country singers battled it out for Blake’s affection – leaving the coach with a tough choice. Shelby Z. and Justin Chain delivered an intense performance of Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson’s “Don’t You Want To Stay.” Don’t miss their AMAZING duet posted below.

It was Chain who ended up getting the boot. Talk about tough choice!

Shelton then paired Monika Leigh against Ray Boudreaux and they took on “Some Kind Of Wonderful.” Boudreaux came out on top but don’t shed a tear for Leigh. She was saved by Team CeeLo.

Blake’s final loss was Sam Cerniglia who fell to E.G. Daily. (Watch at :23)

More battle rounds are on tap for “The Voice” Monday (10/21) on NBC at 8/7c.
