Five Most Anticipated 2013 ACM Awards Performances

“Country Music’s Party of the Year,” the 48th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, is just days away. Artists, members of the music industry, and fans are currently packing up and heading to Sin City for “the week Vegas goes Country.”

As anticipation builds for what is guaranteed to be a very memorable night, we are counting down the the show’s five most anticipated performances.

5. Hunter Hayes/Stevie Wonder Collaboration: Six-time ACM nominee Hunter Hayes will debut his new single during the telecast. In addition, he’s teaming up with Stevie Wonder to perform one of Wonder’s classic hit songs.

4. Luke Bryan’s New Single: ACM Awards co-host and Entertainer of the Year nominee Luke Bryan will debut “Crash My Party,” his highly anticipated new single, during the show. The song is the lead track from his forthcoming studio album.

3. “Highway Don’t Care” – Tim McGraw and Taylor Swift are set perform their new duet, “Highway Don’t Care,” for the first time on live television. They will be joined by Keith Urban on guitar.

2. The Opening Number – The ACM Awards usually kicks off with an all-star performance and this year will be no exception. Co-hosts Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan will be joined by Brad Paisley for a performance of Shelton’s newest single “Boys ‘Round Here.” The superstar trio will be joined by the “girls ’round here” Sheryl Crow, and Miranda Lambert’s Pistol Annies.

1. George Strait/Garth Brooks Duet: Country music legends George Strait and Garth Brooks will perform together for the first time in history during the ACM Awards telecast. The pair, who will perform a tribute to the late Dick Clark, will be introduced by the “Queen of Country music,” Reba McEntire.

The show will also include performances by Kelly Clarkson, Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Carrie Underwood, Little Big Town, and more.
