Florida Georgia Line Heat Up 2017 BBMAs with John Legend Collaboration

It’s the collaboration we never knew we needed — Country superstars Florida Georgia Line combined forces with musical sensation John Legend for a once-in-a-lifetime performance on the 2017 Billboard Music Awards. The duo, comprised of Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley, joined Legend for a special performance of their hit “H.O.L.Y.”

The performance began with an introduction by actress Olivia Munn, who welcomed the collaborators for the special moment. Legend kicked off the set at his piano with the song “Surefire,” from his album Darkness and Light. After his solo moment, Legend was joined by Hubbard and Kelley for the power ballad.

FGL entered the night at the BBMAs as the top country nominees, earning six nominations for the ceremony. As of their performance, the duo had earned a win in the category Top Country Song for “H.O.L.Y.”

After tonight’s awards, Florida Georgia Line will be busy preparing for their busy summer season, first by kicking off their headlining The Smooth Tour, with special guests Nelly and Chris Lane. The tour kicks off June 2 in Austin, TX. Shortly after, the duo hope to open their new restaurant and entertainment space, FGL House, on Lower Broadway in Nashville.
