Florida Georgia Line, Jason Derulo to Join Hank Williams Jr. on Monday Night Football

Just a really cool thing and a part of history that we grew up watching and seeing it come to life on Monday night and now I’m getting to be a part of it is super surreal and cool for us,” Hubbard said.

Hank Williams Jr. will be returning back to his historic spot on Monday Night Football, but he’s getting by with a little help from his friends.

Revamping the original NFL country track, “All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Monday Night,” Williams wanted to revive his role in modern fashion by having Florida Georgia Line and Jason Derulo tag along for the new collaboration. As fans of football themselves, the guys of FGL can’t wait to join Williams on a song they were raised up on during those Monday night games.

“BK and I grew up hearing Hank, ‘Are you ready for some football?’ To get to be on the remake of that and bring that back and Hank’s on it and [Jason] Derulo is a part of that and for all of us to get to team up together, record it…we just shot the video for it last week, I believe. Just a really cool thing and a part of history that we grew up watching and seeing it come to life on Monday night and now I’m getting to be a part of it is super surreal and cool for us,” Hubbard told Sounds Like Nashville and other media during a press conference.

The return of Williams and Co. marks the first time since 2011 that the country singer has been a part of the NFL community, as he was yanked from the lineup that year after voicing some negative commentary regarding the President of the time. Six years later, he’s ready to give the spot another go with great pride.

The first game marking Williams’ return, with Florida Georgia Line and Derulo following along, is scheduled for September 11 with the New Orleans Saints taking on the Minnesota Vikings.
