The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department have a new officer due to Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley of Florida Georgia Line.

The department took to Facebook to thank the duo for the donation of a new K-9 officer to the force.

“Thank you, Florida Georgia Line for IMPD’s newest K-9 partner,” they wrote on Facebook with a photo of FGL and the new officer.

Comments on the photo poured in, praising Hubbard and Kelley for their donation and wishing blessings on the K-9 and his fellow officers.

The pup, who has yet to be named by his handlers, was originally going to join Kelley and his wife Brittney, along with their four other dogs. According to CNN, the couple brought him home to join their pack, but saw untapped potential in the pup they named Sarge.

“We are so excited that Sarge will live a life of keeping people and his officers safe,” said the couple in a statement obtained by the publication. “Being able to give back is something in our hearts and last night in Indianapolis was a moment we won’t forget.”

CNN also reports that the dog will soon be trained as an explosive detective dog.
