Florida Georgia Line may be a country duo, but they definitely know how to play the game in the pop world after they blew up their performance with Bebe Rexha on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday night (1/24).

The guys hit the stage in similar dark, double-breasted ensembles as they harmonized over the first verse and chorus before Rexha fired the song up even more when she appeared. As smoke covered the stage when the chorus revved up, the three jammed out hard to the up-tempo pop-country crossover.

Ever since “Meant to Be” found its way on both Top 40 and country radio, fans reacted positively and sent the song soaring up each chart. Although Tyler Hubbard of the duo could never imagine the success that the track has amounted to since they all wrote it together, he feels glad that they could all come together for a special collaboration like that.

“Some of the coolest moments for us have been the ones we never planned. Going into the writing session that day in LA, we had no idea that it would turn into this,” said FGL’s Tyler Hubbard in a previous interview about the track. “Seeing how the fans are connecting to the vibe and message of ‘Meant to Be’ has been really amazing.”

Florida Georgia Line decided to take some well-deserved time off for the beginning of the year, just in time for Hubbard to take care of her newborn daughter and Brian Kelley to open up a storefront for Tribe Kelley in Nashville.

“Meant to Be” is featured on Rexha’s EP, All Your Fault: Part 2, and can be purchased or streamed online now.
