A new country music themed movie is coming out early next year and it features music from a handful of country favorites.
Forever My Girl, starring Alex Roe and Jessica Rothe, is based on the best-selling romance novel by Heidi McLaughlin. The screenplay is written and directed by Bethany Ashton Wolf.
In the film, country music superstar Liam Page (Roe) returns to his hometown and encounters Josie (Rothe), the bride he left at the altar to pursue his music career. After ten years of being on the road, Page has to face the consequences of his actions and what he left behind.
The film’s music producer Brett Boyett recruited several country stars to contribute to the soundtrack. Lauren Alaina performs “Wings of an Angel,” as well as a duet titled “Enough” with Little Big Town’s Phillip Sweet. Travis Tritt, who also co-stars in the movie, performs the track “Slowing Down.”
Forever My Girl is set for limited release in theaters on January 26, 2018.
