Freshly minted ACM New Female Artist of the Year Gabby Barrett is currently having one heck of a great week, backing the awards-show news by scoring her second career Number One with “The Good Ones.”

It’s a special feat considering Barrett also topped radio charts with her previous single — her award-nominated hit, “I Hope” — making her the first female artist in five years to reach Number One on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart with her first two releases. And with a newborn baby at home, this tender hit is also special because it’s dedicated to her husband, guitarist and fellow American Idol album Cade Foehner.

“I did not think the past week could have been any more amazing, but to have the Number One song feels like the cherry on top,” Barrett shared with Billboard. “I’m so grateful for my husband, who truly is a good one and inspired this song. Thank you to my family and fans for supporting me, my label and team for helping take my second single to the top and country radio for playing it. Most importantly, I’m thankful for our gracious Lord Jesus and how kind He is to me always. It’s more than I deserve.”

“The Good Ones” was written by Gabby Barrett with Zach Kale, Emily Landis, and Jim McCormick, and is also Number One on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. She’ll take the ACM Awards stage on Sunday (April 18) to celebrate the New Female Artist of the Year win, and is also up for another trophy at the show — Single of the Year for her five-times Platinum debut, “I Hope.”
