Garth Brooks Announces 2014 World Tour on ‘Good Morning America’

WYNN LAS VEGAS

Christmas has come early for Garth Brooks fans!

The legendary entertainer announced plans for a 2014 world tour this morning during his appearance on ABC’s “Good Morning America.”

“You know what, since it’s you and since we’ve had a history forever, let’s announce it. We’re going on a world tour in 2014,” Brooks told host Robin Roberts today on “GMA.” “I can’t believe I just did that but you are a doll.”

The 52-year-old, who recently returned to the top of the country charts with his new album, “Blame It All on My Roots: Five Decades of Influences,” revealed the decision to return to touring was one the entire family took part in.

“It sure feels good to get to throw your hat back in the ring,” he said. “All my babies are fine with it. Ms. Yearwood is fine with it. So now I get to do what I love to do, which is play music. I get to be with the person I want to be with, which is Ms. Yearwood.”

The announcement was made on a whim, as Brooks seemingly wasn’t planning to break the news today. Watch the interview below.
