Garth Brooks Celebrates Five Million Tickets Sold on Garth Brooks World Tour

Give him sixty shows and Garth Brooks will show you five million tickets sold.

The country superstar celebrated his huge ticket accomplishment on Friday night during a performance on his Garth Brooks World Tour with wife and fellow country star, Trisha Yearwood. While this accolade is not the first for Brooks, it only took him a mere 60 shows to garner the honor this time around compared to his former count of 100 shows back in 1998.

The surprise presentation from Yearwood took him off-guard during his performance, which included him receiving plaques for both achievements in 1998 and 2017. Adding to the excitement, Wayne Gretzky sent over a special shout-out to Brooks for all he’s done throughout his lengthy and successful career. Playing in Edmonton, AB, Canada that night, Brooks will forever be commemorated at the arena with the hanging of a banner to represent his five million seats sold, as well as nine sold out concerts played at the new Rogers Place in Edmonton, alongside the hockey championship banners.

After retiring for a few years to take care of his family at home, Brooks got himself back on the grind of touring and has remained one of the top touring artists in all of the music industry. Selling out stadiums and arenas across the country, the country singer finds his new home surrounded by thousands of fans singing his classics every night.

Brooks has a few more shows on his schedule for the spring, which fans can head over to his website for cities and ticket information now.
