Garth Brooks Joins Jason Aldean for ‘Friends in Low Places’ Performance

Jason Aldean has a big year ahead of him, but he still calls upon his ‘Friends in Low Places’ to help out with special performances from time to time.

During a showcase hosted by Amazon Music during the Country Radio Seminar in Nashville on Monday night (2/5), Aldean rocked out to his hits like “Tattoos on this Town” and “Dirt Road Anthem.” Although the singer hinted his set would finish after playing his latest single, “You Make It Easy,” he decided to surprise the audience with a spontaneous guest performance from none other than Garth Brooks himself.

The two busted out a rendition of “Friends in Low Places” as they dueled on acoustic guitars for a sing-a-long in the fancy ballroom. Strumming along with a big smile on his face, Brooks seemed to be having a blast alongside Aldean who strongly lead the vocals to the iconic country anthem.

That wasn’t the only stop on Brooks’ path though, as he wandered a couple blocks over to the bright lights of Broadway in downtown Music City to hang out at a honky tonk called Layla’s. He hopped on stage for an unexpected performance while dressed casually in a backwards snapback and t-shirt for the evening.

Ever since finishing off the year of 2017 playing multiple shows in Nashville to sold-out crowds, Brooks took a breather from the stage life to recuperate from his hectic schedule. His CRS appearances mark the first time since he returned to the stage for 2018, and fans are hoping it won’t be the last time for the year.
