Garth Brooks to Host Inaugural Concert at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta

Every city Garth Brooks touches turns to light, so his show at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium on October 12 is about to make the city shine bright.

Wanting the stadium to become a massive hub for all things sports and entertainment throughout The Big Peach, CEO Steve Cannon of AMB Group knows that locking down a massive performing artist like Brooks for the venue’s inaugural show will start something big for the venue.

“We’ve succeeded in securing the premiere sporting events in America and now have the top-selling solo artist of the 20th century, Garth Brooks, coming to Atlanta to showcase the stadium as an elite music venue. We could not be more pleased to have Garth set this milestone in the stadium,” said Cannon.

Brooks himself lives off of the live energy at his shows night after night, but even he cannot resist the country spirit that lies within the heart of ATL every time he makes a pit stop in the city.

“I’m thrilled to be back in Atlanta and honored to play the first concert in Mercedes-Benz Stadium,” said Brooks in a press release. “I’ve visited the stadium twice in the last month and all I can say is – the fans are going to love it; it’s truly one-of-a-kind.  We’re going to create a special experience the fans will never forget and I can’t wait to light that place up this fall!”

Brooks will bring along his favorite tour mate and wife, Trisha Yearwood, to join in on the Southern city festivities to open up the venue for the first time.

Tickets for the show will go on sale on Friday, June 30 at 10 a.m. EST and can be purchased online at Ticketmaster or over the phone.
