During his weekly Inside Studio G Facebook Live on Monday (2/25), Garth Brooks announced plans to release a seven-disc vinyl collection later this year.

The set will be called The Legacy Collection and features three different boxed sets – the first will be the original recordings, the second features remixed and remastered songs and the third includes a limited edition version. The collection will contain seven vinyl discs of five albums including No Fences, The Chase, In Pieces, Fresh Horses and Triple Live. A limited number of box sets will be numbered.

Fans who pre-order the collection will also be able to reserve a personalized number, like an important date or anniversary. The number will be etched into the side of the boxed set.

During the chat, Brooks explained the significance of the astronaut on the moon featured on the vinyl covered. It was a comment from a radio host who said the Oklahoma native would likely be “the first man to play on the moon.” The comment got Brooks thinking, so he approached NASA about using a photo and was granted access to a picture from Apollo 14. Then Brooks added a photo of fans from his tour to the helmet of the spacesuit.

The Legacy Collection will go on sale at talkshop.live or garthbrooks.com/vinyl beginning Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. EST. Fans purchasing will get a rate of $100 for all three boxed sets with a reserved personalized number.
