The girlfriend of Route 91 Harvest Festival gunman Stephen Paddock will not be facing charges from investigators in the case regarding the October festival massacre.

Marilou Danley, who was the romantic partner to Paddock, was confirmed to be out of the country visiting family in the Philippines from the dates of September 14 to October 3. According to Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo, police have reportedly determined she was not associated with the crime and therefore, will be not facing any sort of charge, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports. She has maintained that she was unaware of what Paddock had been planning.

As confirmed by previous statements made just days following the attack, Danley told police that Paddock was in the process of breaking up with her when he told her to fly to see her family and wired her $100,000 to buy a house for her and her family. With that information, investigators have officially confirmed Paddock acted alone as the sole shooter in the act.

Other details also came out from the report, showing that Paddock looked up troublesome searches online in relation to the Route 91 Harvest Festival, including ‘Biggest open air concert venues in USA’ and ‘How tall is Mandalay Bay.’

Paddock also had no prior convictions held against his record, besides minor traffic issues. He never left behind any suicide note or motive inclinations behind before perpetrating the shooting.

The Route 91 Harvest Festival massacre was recorded as the worst mass shooting in modern American history, killing more than 50 innocent people and injuring hundreds more in a matter of minutes during Jason Aldean’s Sunday night set.

The investigation regarding Route 91 Harvest Festival is still an open case.
