Grand Ole Opry and Southwest Airlines Team Up for NYC Summer Concert Series

New York City is about to get a dose of the Southern summer thanks to the help of the Grand Ole Opry and Southwest Airlines.

The iconic country venue and commercial airline have teamed up together to present Circle in the City, a summer music series right in the heart of New York. Bryant Park will host free acoustic performances from country stars for the three-week series. The artists will even bring a piece of Nashville with them as they plan to have a replica of Opry’s famous wood circle beneath them and a signature microphone from the venue.

Artists set to perform for the music series are Parmalee on July 26, Lindsay Ell on August 2 and Thompson Square on August 9. Both Ell and Thompson Square will follow their New York trips up with a performance the following night back at the Opry for a whirlwind experience.

Seating for Circle in the City will be first come, first serve for anyone who wants to come out to the shows. For those who can’t make it to the performances, they will be livestreamed on the Opry website for all to watch.

All shows will begin at 8:30 p.m. from the historic Bryant Park. For more information and details about the summer concert series, fans can visit the Opry website and social media to learn more.
