Thomas Rhett is already the girl dad all other girl dads aspire to be, making parenting look easy as the father of three young daughters. But despite the fact that he and wife Lauren Akins already have their hands full (and then some), there may be more little ones in his future.

Speaking with radio host and TV guy Bobby Bones on The Bobby Bones Show, the country star admitted that three is only about half of the brood he and Lauren may one day have — and that it’s not really up to him.

“Me and Lauren are just kinda at the point where our house is so chaotic anyway, as we continue to have kids, I definitely want to have a boy, but I doubt my wife would stop until we have at least five or six,” Thomas Rhett said. “So, we’ll see.”

Bones followed up by asking if the country star really meant that, dumbstruck that a guy with three toddlers and a day job that normally keeps him on the road is ready for more. But it’s true. The family now includes Willa Gray (5), Ada James (3), and Lennon Love (1), and TR’s been keeping fans up to date on the fun they’ve had since 2020 made him a work-from-home dad.

“I think so, man, I really do,” Rhett answered. “I don’t really have a say so. If Lauren wants six kids, we’re probably going to have six kids.”

Elsewhere in the segment, TR also opened up about his enduring love of Eric Church, even going so far as calling Church his favorite country artist of all time.

“As far as just me growing up and really falling in love with the craft of songwriting and a guy that can just perform the crap out of a show, it would be Eric, for sure,” he said.

It just so happens that the two artists have more in common than usual right now, as Thomas Rhett and Eric Church are both reigning Entertainers of the Year. TR and Carrie Underwood share the coveted ACM title, and Church holds the CMA version. Meanwhile, Rhett’s current single, “What’s Your Country Song,” is inside country radio’s Top 10, and Church’s “Hell of a View” has cracked the Top 20.
