Gwen Stefani is loving her married life with Blake Shelton so much, she is taking ownership over her new last name.

As captured on video posted by a fan named Paisley on Twitter, the newlyweds decided to make a quick stop to perform a few tunes in their adopted hometown of Tishomingo, Oklahoma. During their spontaneous time on stage, Shelton let Stefani take it away by singing some of her No Doubt tracks. While introducing the song, “Don’t Speak,” Shelton pumped his wife up by giving her a humbling shoutout.

“Y’all, Gwen Stefani is singing in Tishomingo right now,” Shelton joked. “What is this world?”

The crowd gave their encouragement as Stefani promptly corrected her man with a quick quip about her new taken status.

“I thought it was Gwen Shelton now,” the popstar said, as the audience cheered the happy couple on and even started calling her by her new first name.

The two have been on cloud nine ever since their big day over the 4th of July holiday weekend. Shelton and Stefani exchanged vows during an intimate ceremony for family and friends in a chapel built right on Shelton’s Oklahoma property. Stefani shared numerous pictures from the celebration on her social media accounts, showing off her gorgeous gowns and her love for her groom. Even friend and officiant Carson Daly shared some inside scoop from the nuptials, noting it was an authentic representation of Shelton and Stefani’s relationship.

“The wedding was, the best way to describe it is it was perfectly them, the whole weekend and the marriage itself. It was as elegant and refined and cool as Gwen is and it was as country and down home and fun as Blake is. They just work. They’re an unlikely pair. They’re like if you paired delicious fried chicken with a glass of champagne,” said Daly.

Shelton will hit the road later this summer for his Friends & Heroes Tour, which kicks off in Omaha on August 18.
