Halfway to Hazard Raises Over $200,000 for Tornado Relief Telethon

CBS affiliate WYMT raised over $200,000 for recent victims of the Kentucky tornado storms during the East Kentucky Tornado Relief Telethon, held last Tuesday, March 14. Hosted by Hazzard, KY natives Chad Warrix and David Tollier, (from duo Halfway to Hazard) the telethon covered 27 counties in Eastern Kentucky and West Virginia.

During the 3.5 hour telethon, Warrix and Tollier answered phones, took donations, and performed for viewers. Showing support for the event, other celebrities and dignitaries lended their likeness to help create awareness including Rob Bironas (TN Titans & KY Native), Dean Sams (Lonestar), Keith Anderson and Congressman Hal Rodgers.

Chad Warrix, currently working his solo debut single, “Rain on the Roof,” has been out on radio tour and in the studio finishing up his debut solo album.
