“One Beer” newcomer Hardy is feeling the buzz of a hit single in the making, announcing his debut album, A Rock, as the chaser.

Set to arrive on September 4, the full-length set will give fans an in-depth view of one of country’s most intriguing new artists — an award-nominated tunesmith with a knack for irreverant turns of phrase that capture the small-town vernacular, and the loud-and-proud force behind last year’s “Rednecker.”

A Rock seems primed to keep that party going, aptly described as a rock-flavored project with Hardy’s sandpaper drawl, and plenty of chest-thumping muscularity. Produced by a big-name team including Joey Moi, and co-producer Derek Wells, plus David Garcia Jake Mitchell, it also features co-writes with some of Music City’s most respected names, including Hardy’s frequent songwriting pals Ashley Gorley, Hillary Lindsey — plus Hardy’s Top 25 and climbing “One Beer” (featuring Lauren Alaina and Devin Dawson).

You may not be familiar with Hardy as an artist just yet, but you’ve likely heard his tunes. The Mississippi native is one of the award-nominated pens behind tracks like Blake Shelton’s “God’s Country,” and also a writer on his buddy Morgan Wallen’s breakout tune, “Up Down” (featuring Florida Georgia Line). A Rock follows a pair of EPs and last year’s all-star packed Hixtape: Volume 1, a concept album full big-name collaborations with the likes of Keith Urban, Thomas Rhett and more.
