Many stars throughout the entertainment industry are lending their prayers toward Naya Rivera and her family as search efforts continue in hopes of locating the actress after she went missing during a lake trip Wednesday afternoon.
Singer and ‘The Goldbergs’ actress Hayley Orrantia was one of the various artists that sent well wishes to Rivera and her family, writing in a tweet, “Everyone please send prayers up now for her!” Orrantia also liked several responses from fans who expressed concern over the situation.
Other notable stars who are keeping Rivera in their thoughts include her ‘Glee’ co-stars Heather Morris and Harry Shum Jr., as well as Demi Lovato and Rivera’s ex-fiancé, rapper Big Sean.
Rivera’s disappearance was reported Wednesday afternoon after she and her 4-year-old son did not return a boat they had rented on Lake Piru in Ventura County, California. Authorities later discovered the boat adrift, with her son on board sleeping in his life jacket.
The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department said the search for Rivera has moved from a rescue effort to a recovery effort as she is presumed dead. Authorities say they do not believe there was any foul play, and that Rivera “drowned in what appears to be a tragic accident.”
Due to the murkiness of the water, dive teams have been using sonar technology in order to locate Rivera. As of Saturday morning, teams had still not recovered her body or any other evidence connected to the incident.
