Hillary Scott has performed on the Grand Ole Opry stage countless times as part of Grammy-winning trio Lady Antebellum, but on Tuesday evening (July 26), the singer stepped onto the stage for the first time as a member of her family band, Hillary Scott & the Scott Family.

Joined by her mother, Linda Davis, father, Lang Scott, and little sister, Rylee, Hillary was all smiles as she marked the momentous occasion in her career. The family took the stage to perform four songs from their new faith-based album, Love Remainswhich drops this Friday.

After soaking in the moment a bit, Hillary Scott & the Scott Family kicked off their set with “Beautiful Messes,” the first song on their 13-track album. Rylee then took center stage for the opening of the title track, “Love Remains,” as Hillary stepped aside to watch her sister enjoy her time in the spotlight.

The most emotional moment of the evening came when Hillary went solo for a performance of the album’s lead single, “Thy Will.” As she introduced the song, Hillary encouraged fans in the packed Opry House to not be afraid to share their stories and to always know that someone out there has gone through the same thing. (Earlier this summer, Hillary revealed the the song came to her after suffering a miscarriage last fall).

Joining the Scott Family on “country’s most famous stage” was their producer and bluegrass legend Ricky Skaggs, who also performed a set during the Tuesday night Opry. Skaggs and the Scott Family joined together for one final performance before bidding farewell to fans.

Prior to the show, Hillary expressed her excitement over their Opry debut, saying that she and her family could not wait “to sing about the Love and Hope we hold so dear to our hearts,” and that’s exactly what they did.
