Hootie & the Blowfish Have a Fan in Jason Aldean’s Daughter, Keeley
Rock on, Keeley!
With a career as expansive as Jason Aldean’s, it’s no surprise that his passion for music has overflowed into his home life. His daughter Keeley, 15, has been bit by the music bug, sharing an eclectic taste of music just like her dad.
Admitting that she had joined him at the 2018 CMA Music Festival, but likely didn’t care to watch her dear old dad, Aldean pointed out that she was a fan of another artist on the bill… Darius Rucker.
“She was like, ‘I want to see Darius.’ I was like all right,” he said with a laugh. “Keeley’s like a rocker, she’s like into the 80s rock kind of stuff and she likes country, but she likes rock and roll too, so she’s kind of gotten into listening to some of the Hootie & the Blowfish stuff and so she wants to go see Darius tonight. They want to see Dan + Shay and I think Kane, so yeah, she’s out there.”

Her passion for music has grown enough to inspire the young musician-in-the-making to pick up the guitar and start learning how to play.
“She just started learning to play guitar and stuff, so she’s really kind of got the bug right now, wanting to absorb as much of it as she can. It’s kind of cool that that’s happened,” he beamed. “I never wanted to push it on them, but the fact that she sort of picked it up and wanted to learn it on her own’s been cool and now she kind of wants to see everybody.”
When asked whether or not he could see himself collaborating with Keeley in the near future, he laughed and said, “She got a long way to go. We’ll talk about that later. She’s picking guitar up pretty quick, I will say that, but she’s got a little ways to go.”
In the meantime, Keeley will get to continue absorbing her love for music by catching her dad out on the road for his High Noon Neon Tour.
