How to Watch the 2020 Billboard Music Awards

This year’s Billboard Music Awards is bound to be a show to remember. Taking place on the rescheduled date of October 14, music fans will be treated to the best and brightest on the Billboard music charts from March 23, 2019 through March 14, 2020.

Hosted for the third year by Kelly Clarkson, the celebration will feature special performances and moments, all tailor-made to keep up with the required social distancing guidelines from the Covid-19 pandemic.

What will happen on this year’s BBMAs? We’ve got the rundown for you below…

How to Watch: Fans can tune in to the 2020 Billboard Music Awards live from The Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Wednesday, October 14 at 8/7c on NBC. Live updates will also take place on billboardmusicawards.com and by checking the hashtag #BBMAs.

Host: Kelly Clarkson will return for another year of hosting duties. The singer brought the laughs and talent to the stage for the last two years, making 2020 her third time hosting.

Performers: Luke Combs, Kane Brown and Garth Brooks will represent the country genre. Combs is currently nominated for four awards this year after taking home the 2019 Top Country Artist trophy previously. Brown is up for three awards: Top Country Artist, Top Country Male Artist and Top Country Album. Brooks will be the eighth artist to take home the BBMAs ICON Award and will celebrate the honor with a special performance. Other performers include Alicia Keys, Bad Bunny, BTS, En Vogue, Demi Lovato, Sia, Post Malone and SAINt JHN.

Presenters: This has yet to be revealed, but we’ll update when we learn more!

Winners: Winners for this year’s BBMAs were based on the chart period of March 23, 2019 through March 14, 2020, set for the originally scheduled April 29, 2020 show. According to Billboard, nominees and winners are decided based on “key fan interactions with music, including album and digital song sales, streaming, radio airplay, touring and social engagement, tracked by Billboard and its data partners, including MRC Data/Nielsen Music.”

The 2020 Billboard Music Awards air live Wednesday, Oct. 14 at 8 P.M. ET on NBC.
