Garrett Hedlund, who plays the role of an up-and-coming country singer named Beau Hutton in the film “Country Strong,” may soon have a country music career off screen.
Sources tell E! News that Hedlund “has been asked” to do an album.
“He loves to sing,” this source reveals. “His songs he recorded for ‘Country Strong’ did really well and got really positive feedback. That has given him the confidence to pursue music more seriously now. He wants to be a country star.”
While many fans and media outlets speculated that Hedlund’s recent dinner with Taylor Swift in Nashville had something to do with him recording an album, his rep says that’s not the case. He was reportedly in town doing production for a film he’s currently working on.
Another source reveals that Hedlund “is best friends with Tim McGraw” and says “they hang out all the time.” Maybe there will be a McGraw/Hedlund collaboration in the future? Only time will tell.
