Jake Owen and His Girlfriend Are Pregnant!

Jake Owen is about to be a dad of two!
The singer revealed that he and his girlfriend, Erica Hartlein, are expecting their first child together. During the Thanksgiving night airing of I’m Coming Home on ABC, the singer spent time at his home with his twin brother Jarrod and their parents. It was during some time lounging at the pool that he decided to spill the beans.
“This’ll throw you guys for a loop,” Owen shared. “[We] haven’t told anyone, but Erica and I will be having a little addition to our Owen family.”
The family was overwhelmed with the news, with Owen’s mom expressing her hope for twins and his dad adding “Gotta have a little boy!”
A rep confirmed the news to PEOPLE later on, sharing that the bundle of joy would arrive in late spring/early summer 2019.
The baby will join Owen’s 6-year-old daughter Olive (who goes by her middle name, Pearl). Since her arrival, the Florida native has been a devoted dad, often praising the authentic and special time they spend together.
“People spend so much time on their phones and on social media and things like that,” he told PEOPLE previously. “What I love the most about my time with my little girl is just — I feel like it’s the only true time where when I ask her a question, she genuinely is listening and giving me her 100 percent honest opinion. She hasn’t even learned how to lie.”
“She hasn’t learned how to preface her stories because of how she thinks people will take them or not,” he added. “It’s that pure, genuine conversation, and I love that. I think that’s what kids add to the world, is that they remind you that life is beautiful and the little things matter.”
