Jake Owen is heading into surgery following a go kart accident he had on Sunday while racing NASCAR stars Kevin Harvick and Clint Bowyer.
The “Anywhere With You Singer” updated fans via Facebook and Twitter on his condition today. “Headed in for surgery,” he wrote. I was trying to avoid it, but since I play guitar for a living I need to get this done.”
Jake also assured fans that he won’t let his injury stop him from performing. “Btw..There’s no way I’d miss the chance to play Country Concert 2013 or Fenway Park this weekend. I won’t let y’all down.”
The hitmaker, who visited the emergency room following his accident on Sunday, is scheduled to perform at Country Concert 2013 in Ft. Loramie, Ohio on Thursday. After that, he’s scheduled to re-join Jason Aldean’s ‘Night Train Tour’ for back-to-back night’s at Fenway Park in Boston, Mass.
