Jameson Rodgers and superstar Luke Combs have one thing on their minds as the coronavirus quarantine continues. They dream of better days ahead with “Cold Beer Calling My Name.”

Co-written by the rising talent with Hunter Phelps, Brett Tyler, and Alysa Vanderheym, the party-starting anthem isn’t meant to capture the human experience or wax poetic on how this global pandemic will one day be remembered. But it might be just what you need to crack open a good time. Pairing Rodgers’ frosty vocals with Combs’ cans-in-the-air sound, 100-proof guitars and heavy-handed drums, it’s an approach the Mississippi native put to good use on Combs’ Beer Never Broke My Heart Tour last year … where the two became fast friends (and drinking buddies).

“It’s a fun, easy song, and I thought it’d be cool to have someone on it and at the time I was out with Luke Combs,” the newcomer explains of the song, all about putting “a little chill in my weekend.” “I asked Luke if he’d like to sing on it – I know he’s a cold beer drinker like myself – and luckily it worked out and I’m excited for everybody to hear it.”

“Cold Beer Calling My Name” joins Rodgers debut single, “Some Girls,” which is currently heading up the country radio charts. He plans to headline his Grew Up In the Country Tour later this year.
