After years of working through their issues, Jana Kramer and Michael Caussin have decided to go their separate ways after six years of marriage. The singer and actress announced on Instagram that she and her husband will no longer fight to save their marriage.

“It’s time,” the message began. “As I try to make sense of a new reality I never wanted to believe would be possible again, those words have become a reality.

“I’ve fought, y’all. I’ve loved hard. I’ve forgiven. I’ve put in the work. I’ve given everything I have and now I have nothing left to give. It’s time,” the message continued.

Kramer went on to explain that she still has full faith in love and marriage and rebuilding what has been broken. She also thanked fans for their endless support as the couple navigated the last few years.

“I’ll always encourage you to continue the good fight, but you can’t fight it alone,” she concluded.

Problems in the Kramer-Caussin relationship first began several years ago when Caussin admitted to having a sex addiction and had cheated on his wife multiple times. Rather than split, they decided to work through their issues together and separately with therapy, and often shared what was going on in their podcast, Whine Down with Jana Kramer. The couple also documented their journey in a co-authored book, The Good Fight: Wanting to Leave, Choosing to Stay, and the Powerful Practice for Loving Faithfully. They also worked together to co-parent their young children, Jolie and Jace.

No word yet on when the couple plans to make things official and how they will continue to co-parent.
